Marathon photo FNAC, Bruxelles
On Sunday, Miss Stephanie (see her blog HERE) enlisted me in her team for a photo competition organised by Fnac (a French multimedia shopping chain).
The rules were simple: teams of two were supposed to scour the city, hunting for photos expressing themes such as 'Purely Natural', 'Time of Innocence' or 'Sound and Silence'. Within a set time, the teams had to arrive to various check-points around the city. At every checkpoint, the teams had to submit two photos, upon which they were given a fresh theme, and more time to take photos before the next checkpoint. There was no set route, so in between the check-points, the teams were free to move as they wished. A major annoyance: people could only be photographed with their express written permission, including an addresse and signature. You can imagine the hassle! Otherwise, it was good fun, and Stephanie proved to be a wonderful photo-companion, tirelessly coming up with new inspirations, never losing her good humour, and often achieving the better shots, despite the technical challenge of her funny little Kodak camera ;)
Expect more photos from that day to appear soon...

The SCIC match 2007
Below is a LINK to a selection of PHOTOS from a rather special football match that took place on June 10, and pitched a brave female team of interpreters from the EC interpreting service (SCIC) against a fierce local team of unknown professional affiliation.
